MARGAO: The Salcete taluka-level committee constituted by the government on religious structures has decided to provide opportunity to parties to come out with proposals on relocation of religious structures from the roadside and other public places.
After a meeting of the committee headed by Deputy Collector Sangeeta Naik on Thursday it was decided to compile a report on various proposals received from committee members of religious structures across the taluka. The deputy collector, however, maintained that the committee is still open to proposals of relocation from the committees before the report is compiled and submitted to the district-level committee for further action.
Thursday saw the taluka-level committee discussing on proposals received different areas.
