The protestors read out the memorandum for the people before handing over the same to D’Sa.”The Garbage treatment plant at the Verna plateau  will destroy the ground water and will destroy the rivers of Sal and Zuari,”it said.

“We are not against development but we demand  to PM Modi and CM Sawant to stop the preposterous projects which will destroy Goa,” the memorandum said.

D’sa said,”The Chief Minister of Goa has asked us to wait till the Central Minister comes to Goa and he will get the co-transportation in and through Goa stopped. I an sure CM will keep his word.”

Meanwhile, the statement of the Director General of Police hasn’t gone down well among Goans. The protestors asked the MLA of Nuvem whether the DGP is a political figure to make statements like the ones he made today in the double tracking protests matter.

“This is an indirect threat to people of Goa by the DGP,” said the people.
