PANJIM: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has thrown an open challenge to political parties to prove allegations that it was a ‘B’ team of other parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and by-polls in three assembly constituencies.
The party has said that they are ready to withdraw nominations of all the four candidates if anyone proves the allegations.
Addressing a press conference in the capital on Saturday, Lok Sabha candidates for North Pradeep Padgaonkar and South Goa candidate Elvis Gomes said that AAP is the only option which Goa desperately needs to salvage whatever was left of the State. “In 10 years, there were 13 chief ministers and everyone vied to be ministers which has played havoc with the lives of youth of that generation, many of whom left the shores and are now accused as being ‘toilet cleaners,” Gomes said.
“Let me remind that BJP water was not allowed to flow into Goa by the people by putting up a bund across. The bund was breached by a Congress faction led by Francisco Sardinha giving BJP a free run. So which is the ‘B’ team?” he questioned.
