PANJIM: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Goa, has taken a unique initiative to settle provident fund and pension benefits of subscribers on their retirement day.
The first such step was taken on August 31 in the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner’s office, wherein the documents pertaining to retirement benefits were handed over to Hemant Bhiku Pai Angle at the hands of Ashwini Kumar Gupta, RPFC-I and others.
In a statement issued by EPFP, it is said that Gupta announced that EPFO has taken this initiative so that people don’t have to face any hardship in getting the benefits of provident fund and pension. “This will be a regular activity in future and the benefits will be delivered to all the subscribers of those establishments, whose employer is complying regularly and submitting its returns in time,” he said.
Retiring PF Subscriber Pai Angle said, “I am feeling rich today, by getting the due benefits to me on exactly last day of my service. I am very grateful.”
He said the move will reduce public hardship and people will get benefit of their hard earned money without any trouble.
