Public functionaries asked to file financial statements

PANJIM: The Goa Lokayukta has asked all public functionaries to file their statement of assets and liabilities for the financial year 2016-17 before June 30, 2017.It said that the statements should be filed in the prescribed format in form III, provided under rule 13 of the Goa Lokayukta Rule, 2012, in terms of the provisions of Sub section (1) of Section 21 of the Goa Lokayukta Act, 2011.  It had warned to take action in accordance with the law the names of 6 MLAs who had failed to submit details of their assets and liabilities.
