Pune tourist attacked at Candolim

CALANGUTE, JAN 1
A tourist from Pune was brutally attacked by two youth at Candolim on New Year’s day.
According to Calangute police, the incident took place as the tourist was proceeding in a car, while the youth were riding a Honda Activa scooter.
The Activa scooter damaged the side mirrors of the car, which irritated the occupants in the car, who chased the duo for some distance. 
An altercation then took place between the two groups and the duo allegedly stabbed Prakash Pandey (32) in the back and fled from the scene.
Pandey sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to GMC hospital at Bambolim in a critical condition.
No arrests have been made so far and PSI Narayan Chimulkar is investigating the case.
