PANJIM: The Purushottom Walawalkar Higher Secondary School (PWHSS) in Mapusa, felicitated 55 meritorious students from the Arts stream who excelled in the HSSC exam 2023 conducted by the Goa Board. Shravan Gadekar secured the first position with 93.66%, followed by Nitesh Yende in second place with 93.5%, and Bhargavi Bagkar in third place with 92.5%.
The chief guest for the event was Isha Sawant, the Under Secretary to the Chief Minister. The Principal of PWHSS, Supriya Netravalker, and the head of the Arts faculty, Kirti Sawkar, were also present at the ceremony.
In addition to the above, Ujwala Mahale, a history teacher, and Sunanda Pingle, a political science teacher, were felicitated as their students achieved perfect scores of 100/100 in their respective subjects. Furthermore, apart from the 55 distinction holders, another 54 students from the batch who contributed to achieving 100% results were also appreciated with tokens of appreciation.
