PONDA: The retired private sector employees have urged the Central government to hike their pension. To press for their demands, the employees have formed a national level Retired Non-Government Employees Coordination Committee.
Addressing the media, Ramesh Shetye said that the government appointed Bhagat Singh Koshiyari Committee in 2008 had recommended Rs 9000 as pension plus medical facilities, but the Central government has not fulfilled this demand. Shetye is the Goa Coordination Committee President.
