MAPUSA: A stretch of road at Verla-Canca going towards Assagao direction has been damaged with huge potholes and is causing major hardship to motorists.
Motorists say that a pipeline by the roadside is leaking for several months now, water flows on the roads and the concrete has washed off but the PWD (Water section) prefers to turn Nelson’s eye to the damaged pipeline.
A daily commuter Alex Fernandes said, “This water is flowing for months together now and the road is also damaged. Neither the PWD water section nor the road section has bothered to repair the damaged road and at the end of the day, it’s the people passing through this road who have to suffer.”
