PONDA: Ponda residents on Thursday heaved a sigh of relief as the PWD finally began repairing the pothole-ridden roads in the town.
The PWD commenced the repair work of the road near the Ponda fire station, which was full of potholes.  The pothole-ridden roads in the town have inconvenienced motorists especially riders as many sustained injuries after falling off their two-wheelers while negotiating the potholes.  Besides, too add to the residents’ woes, the prolonged sewerage work followed heavy rains further deteriorated the road conditions as commuting along these routes proved to be a nightmare for riders, who also complained of suffering from back pain.
The filling of pothole-ridden roads will be followed by the hotmixing.
