Goa PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral assured to install flow metres for each village to measure the supply of water to each village. He however was unable to reply to an Opposition question about the impact of the diversion of 3.9 TMC of water from Mhadei to Karnataka. He admitted to a taluka-wise shortfall in the water supply to all parts of Goa.
Though members highlighted that some parts of Goa were not getting even 1 hour of water, Cabral said that the PWD was following the WHO standards benchmark for supplying water.
