PONDA: Taking cognisance of a Herald report on Friday regarding wastage of huge amount of water at Kavlem due to a broken pipeline, PWD workers rushed to the site and repaired the same this morning.
The locals had complained to the PWD that lots of water is getting wasted at Kavlem as the pipeline is broken for over a month.
They thanked Herald for reporting the matter and for providing them with the much needed relief.
It is pertinent to note is that the OPA water treatment plant is struggling to cope up with the supply for people’s daily consumption by managing to get water even from the mining pits and other sources for treatment.
