MARGAO: More than four years after the Traffic Department mooted slip road at the Old market circle to ease traffic congestion, the PWD has finally commenced work on the project.

Traffic officials, however, have called for the early completion of the project, saying the work ought to be completed on a priority basis.

“We are happy that the PWD has finally taken up work on the slipway at the Old market circle. But, the work should be completed on utmost priority. It’s more than a month now since the work had commenced, but there’s no sign of the work coming to an early end,” remarked the traffic official.

The slip road was mooted along side the existing road at the Old market circle for smooth flow of traffic towards Colva and the swimming pool stretch.
