QUEPEM: Stating that Primary Health Centres at Quepem and Balli have been completed, Quepem MLA Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar complained that the government keeps changing the dates for the inauguration of the two health centres.
“Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar had assured to inaugurate the hospitals within three months of the BJP government coming into power. But two years have passed and there is no sign of any inauguration till date,” he stated.
He was speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed extended building of Quepem Municipal Council (QMC), which was inaugurated by ex-chairperson Krishna Shetkar on Monday.
Kavlekar stated that merely construction of new buildings and projects will not solve the problems of the common man, but government servants must provide better services.
Vice Chairperson Mateus Camilo Simoes, Councillors Filu D’Costa and Effie Pereira, Lidia D’Costa and Mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar were present.
