QUEPEM: Sixteen candidatures were received on Tuesday for Quepem Minicipal Council (QMC) out of which two candidates—Rosita Dias, ward 12 and William Fernandes, ward 13—submitted double nominations forms.
From ward 1 (General) former vice-chairperson Chetan Haldankar, former councillor Suchita Shirwaikar and Shahida Banu Khan from ward 3 (women), Lurdina Natalina Costa, Prasad Phal Dessai and Rashid Yusuf Khan from ward 4 (General), former chairperson Filu Dcosta, Ismail Khan Pathan, Nashwin Merwin Martins from ward 5 (General), Covin Bevan Colaco from ward 7 (OBC), Benita Fernandes from ward 9 (Woman ST), Inancio Lourdes Carvalho from ward 12 (ST) filed their nominations.
No nominations were filed from ward 2, 6, 8, 10 and 11.
