VASCO: The newly formed Biodiversity Management Committee of the Village Panchayat of Quelossim signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB) and Technical Support Group headed by Dr Freddy D’Souza, recently.
Speaking to media, Lopinho Xavier, head of the Quelossim Biodiversity Management Committee said that this was done to prepare the people’s biodiversity register of the Quelossim village in order to protect the ecology on which the biodiversity of the village depends.
“The people’s biodiversity register can be used to protect our Goan heritage, ecology, environment and water bodies for our future generations.”
