CUNCOLIM: Quepem Mamlatdar Pratap Gaonkar has assured to issue show cause notices to the illegal structures that the come up on the 20-point programme plots at Takwado, Ambaulim.
He made this assurance to the locals during his inspection, which revealed the presence of illegal structures on the 20-point programme plots at Takwado Ambaulim. The Quepem Mamlatdar and his team of officials inspected the 20-point programme plots at Takwado Ambaulim following reports of encroachments and found out that illegal structures have come up on the eight plots.
It may be recalled that the locals from the Takwado-Ambaulim which comes under the Balli village panchayat along with the Balli Sarpanch Alka Potdar had complained to the Quepem BDO and the Dy Collector about the illegal structures.
The locals also alleged that the Balli village panchayat Talathi had sold these plots to the migrants by charging Rs one lakh for each plot.
Locals had demanded a thorough inquiry into alleged scam.
