MARGAO: Quepem Police on Thursday evening conducted a raid on a liquor shop at Amona and seized illegally stored liquor bottles.
Quepem Police Station Police Inspector Deepak Pedneker said they have seized illegal liquor totalling 88 bottles/cans at Amona, Quepem, worth around Rs 10,576.
Police said, “Based on information, a raid was conducted. Liquor bottles and other material were seized. These are illegally stored stock, without Excise permit.”
According to police, seized liquor bottles were handed over to the local Excise Department for further necessary action.
Police said, “The liquor bottles were seized under panchanama and all legal formalities were followed.”
