The main State level function will be held at Parade Ground, Campal, Panjim at 8.45 am. Governor Mridula Sinha will unfurl the national flag, review the parade and address the State.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Dy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh, Cabinet Ministers, Leader of Opposition Pratapsingh Rane, High Court Judges, Ld Advocate General, MPs, MLAs and other dignitaries will attend the flag hoisting ceremony.
The Governor will also present awards to those who have excelled and contributed in varied fields. The recipients include Priti Gaonkar, Neha Divkar and K V Ramnathan.
There will be mass PT display, mass dance and songs by children from different educational institutions.
Programmes will also be held in other parts of the State.
Governor will host a reception at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula at 5.15 pm.
