After a resolution was passed adopting the village under the PM’s scheme, various committees were constituted towards the implementation of the schemes. South Goa district Collector, Venancio Furtado, Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco, Sarpanch Joseph Vaz, representatives of various departments, besides the villagers attended the special gram sabha.
When the issue of scarce land was mentioned to Venancio Furtado, he admitted that land is a problem, but at the same time said that land acquisition may come into play only in case of implementing major development project. Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco appealed to the people to join hands for the village development.
