Rahul Gandhi turns coolie at Delhi’s Anand Vihar, interacts with worker

Goa: Congress Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi, made a
heartwarming connection with the working-class people of India during his
recent visit to the Anand Vihar railway station in East Delhi. The charismatic
leader met and interacted with a group of porters, displaying a unique form of
empathy.

Rahul Gandhi’s interaction took an unexpected turn when he
decided to wear the distinctive red uniform shirt and badge that the porters
handed to him. He even carried a suitcase briefly on his head, walking
alongside them. The simple yet powerful gesture resonated with the hundreds of
porters gathered at the station, who applauded his efforts.

In a separate political development, Rahul Gandhi extended
his support to the Women’s Reservation Bill while highlighting its limitations
due to the absence of quotas for Other Backward Classes (OBC). Addressing the
issue in Lok Sabha, he commented, “The moment the opposition raises the
issue of caste census and Adani, the BJP tries to raise a new event so that the
OBC community and the people of India look the other way.”

His mention of the caste census during his speech drew
protests from the Treasury benches, but Rahul Gandhi encouraged, “Don’t be
scared,” emphasizing the importance of addressing these pressing concerns.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the railway station and his advocacy
for inclusive policies continue to capture attention as he engages with a wide
spectrum of social and political issues in India.
