Rahul Gandhi’s Goa visit postponed to February 4

PANJIM: All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader and MP Rahul Gandhi’s Goa visit scheduled on Wednesday, February 2 has been postponed to February 4 due to his Parliamentary commitments and also his visit to Raipur on February 3 for bhoomi poojan of the memorial in honour of martyrs.

Informing this to media persons, AICC spokesperson Alka Lamba on Tuesday said that Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Goa, will interact with representatives of the tourism sector, anganwadi staff and others. Besides this, he will address meetings of workers and will also guide Congress candidates contesting February 14 Assembly elections.

Lamba said that since the budget session is going on, Gandhi will react to the budget on February 2 and will place his views on it in Parliament. “Hence, we have decided to postpone his Goa visit. Secondly, Gandhi will visit Chhattisgarh on February 3 to attend various programmes there,” she said.
