PANJIM: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will release the party’s election manifesto at a function to be held at Sanquelim, on February 2.
During his visit, Gandhi is also likely to interact with representatives of NGOs and other groups and address a virtual rally.
Though the Congress is yet to announce star campaigners for Goa, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is arriving in Goa on Monday.
For the upcoming Assembly elections, the Congress is contesting 37 seats and has allotted three seats to its ally Goa Forward Party (GFP).
On the other hand, the BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade has said that the manifesto will be released after incorporating all people centric issues and suggestions and during the visit of party’s national leaders in Goa.
The BJP had started “Sankalp Peti”, a drive across the State to seek suggestions from the people to prepare the manifesto.
