MARGAO: Former Zilla Panchayat candidate from Raia, Lia Gomes and environmental activist Ilma Dias, both of whom had quit the Aam Aadmi Party last year, on Thursday called on the Mahila Chief of Indian National Congress Netta D’Souza setting speculation about their imminent joining the Congress.
Gomes informed that they discussed issues of importance affecting women with the Congress’ national leader.
D’Souza is learnt to have met with several women’s groups extending invitation to join and strengthen the party.
