MARGAO: The issue of the mobile tower in Raia village was raised at the gram sabha meeting. Sarpanch Judas Quadros informed that discussions have been held with the authorities for shifting the location of the mobile tower.
Another issue that was raised was about the menace of the rising migrant population in the village. Quadros added that the panchayat body had deliberated on this topic at their monthly meeting and had placed this issue before the gram sabha. He added that the panchayat cannot carry out a migrant survey but that they have asked the local police to conduct the tenant verification drive in the village.
There was also a demand for the collection of e-waste.
