MARGAO: Rail traffic on the Konkan Railway route was disrupted on Friday following the breakdown of the overhead equipment wire of the Madgaon-Mumbai Kokankanya Express between Diwankhawati and Vinhere Railway stations in Ratnagiri District, at around 1 am.
Railway Administration managed to fix the issue and recommence traffic after nearly five hours.
However, many trains on the railway line ran hours late, including Konkankanya, Tutari, Mangalore Express, Madgaon Express, Jan Shatabdi, inconveniencing passengers.
