QUEPEM: Curchorem town witnessed a blackout for nearly three hours as strong winds accompanied with thunder and rain hit Quepem and Sanguem taluka on Thursday evening.
Movement to Sanguem was severely affected as two huge wild trees fell across the road while the heavy showers flooded some fields and also streets in the area.
At Valkini in Sanguem, traffic on the main road was disrupted due to a toppling of trees on the road and similar was the condition near Marcus Farm at Costimol.
Fire Services personnel cleared the roads later on.
