SATTARI: Heavy rains along with thunderstorm hit the State in isolated places across North and South Goa Districts, on Monday night.
Due to the heavy rainfall, lightning, gusty winds and thundering, the locals faced heavy losses.
People’s household electrical and electronics items were burnt due to lightning. The electrical items which were burnt due to natural calamities included TVs, refrigerators, ceiling and table fans, iron and other electrical material.
In some parts, trees and electricity poles were uprooted causing power cuts.
