Rains damage house,temple at Mayem

Heavy rains on Saturday damaged a house and a small temple at Mayem-Bicholim, causing a loss worth about Rs 70,000.
According to reports, a large mango tree fell on the house of Manisha Mayenkar at Haldanwadi Mayem and a nearby temple. The fire services went to the site and managed to save property worth about Rs 2 lakh.
At Chodan, a tree fell on an electricity pole snapping off wires and disrupting power supply in the area for some time.
