MAPUSA: Compared to the rest of the state there was normal rainfall in Mapusa, Pernem and other surrounding areas, despite the rainfall alert.
The amount of rainfall in last three days had worried people, especially farmers, who feared heavy rains would affect their crops. But with normal rainfall on Monday normalcy seems to have returned in the region.
Mapusa, Pernem and surrounding areas saw normal rainfall on Monday, which enabled people carry out their routine chores.
Along with Mapusa and Pernem other surrounding areas of Aldona, Moira, Thivim, Calangute and areas of Pernem also received normal rain.
No tree falls or causalities were reported during this period.
