PANJIM: Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai has finally brought the Raj Bhavan under the purview of Right To Information (RTI) Act by appointing the Public Information Officer (PIO) and the First Appellate Authority.
The Governor’s Joint Secretary has been appointed as the PIO and the Secretary to the Governor is the First Appellate Authority under the RTI Act.
Social activist Adv Aires Rodrigues has commended Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai for lifting that veil of secrecy and opening the gates of Raj Bhavan to embrace the RTI Act.
