VALPOI: The Valpoi Police arrested 25-year-old Ramnivas Bishnoi, a native of Rajasthan and currently residing at Saleli, Sattari, for allegedly raping a minor girl.
The Police said that the accused would invite the victim to his house for various reasons. After learning about the unfortunate incident, the victim’s mother filed a complaint at Valpoi Police Station.
Valpoi PI Dinesh Gadekar said the accused has been kept in police custody as further investigation is underway. “Accused has been residing in Saleli in a rented room for several years in the victim’s neighbourhood. We have arrested the accused following a complaint filed by the victim’s mother,” said Gadekar. PSI Sarvesh Gaddi is further investigating.
