PANJIM: The Women’s Police Station Panjim on Saturday arrested a Rajasthani native for allegedly raping a 24-year- old woman.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh Patni, 46, who reportedly intoxicated the victim with a drink and then sexually abused her. The accused Patni is in Goa looking to start a business.

As per the details shared by Bossuet Silva Superintendent of Police, the accused befriended the victim after they met at a restaurant in North Goa a couple of days back.
An FIR has been registered under IPC sections 328 and 376. The accused was traced and nabbed based on technical analysis from a location in North Goa by the Women’s police station team led by PI Reema Naik under the supervision of SP Bossuet Silva. PSI Harshal Raikar is further investigating the case.
