Rajnath to attend Goa meet on coastal security

PANJIM: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will preside over a meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs to be held in Goa, on July13, to discuss the issue of coastal security.

The committee consists of members besides Mr MP Shantaram Naik, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sharad Pawar, Kirti Azad, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Dr Thocchom Meinya, Yogi Aditya Nath, Avinash Rai Khanna, H K Dua, K C Tyagi, Mohd Ali Khan, Mukul Roy, Ram Gopal Yadav and 14 others.
Minister of State from the Ministry of Home Affairs and high officials of the ministry are also expected to attend.
MP Shantaram Naik has also appealed to the members of public to suggest the issues that should be raised by him in the meeting on coastal security either by meeting him in Congress office on Thursday or through his e mail- shantaramgoa@gmail.com.
In a statement issued today, MP Shantaram Naik will be meeting Congress persons on July 9 between 3 p.m. to 5 pm.
Party persons are requested to suggest proposals which they would like to suggest to be taken by MP under Members of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD).
Further, Naik has appealed to the partymen and others to suggest issues which should be raised during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
