Ram Sene: Our pressure led to withdrawal of Muthalik’s name

MARGAO: The Sri Ram Sene has said that its pressure has worked to get the name of its Chief Pramod Muthalik withdrawn in the Konkani tiatr `Akantvadi Goeant Naka’ released on the Gomant Vidya Niketan hall here on Saturday.

Ram Sena Karnataka State Organising Secretary Gangadhar Kalahami told Herald over the phone that it is a victory for the organisation as Muthalik’s name did not figure in the tiatr.
He further said that the tiatr director, Tousif de Navelim has withdrawn the name of Muthalik from the tiatr posters. “We are against terrorism. We are ready to support anyone who is ready to fight against terrorists”, he said.
Kalahami, however, said that various Hindu organisations will meet shortly to find out whether the tiatr made any mention of Hindu outfits as being behind any violence.
“We will analyse the recording of the show before meeting soon to chalk out the future plans”, he added.
