PANJIM: RTI activist Sudip Tamhankar has filed an intervention application to the writ petition challenging the Lifetime Cabinet status of former chief minister Pratapsing Rane.
The writ petition has been filed by social activist Adv Aires Rodrigues, who has challenged the decision of the Goa Cabinet conferring Lifetime Cabinet status and the proposal to create 18 posts as staff for Rane, for the latter’s contribution to the State as MLA for 11 consecutive terms and for being the Chief Minister for the maximum time. In his intervention application, Tamhankar has said that he be allowed to intervene and pursue the matter till it is adjudicated and decided by the court.
