Rangoli artists create land art honouring Gandhiji and Tricolour

PONDA: In an artistic tribute on the cusp of Independence Day, a land art piece depicting Mahatma Gandhi and the National Tricolour was carved across a sprawling agricultural expanse in Kodar-Khandepar. Spanning an impressive 40×55 feet, the portrait was meticulously carved into the land over a 12-hour period by the skilled artisans of the Kalarangam group. Hailing from Khajan Pali, the team includes Pramod Narvekar, Bhumesh Naik, Darshan Naik, Praneet Naik, Prateek Naik, Mohit Naik, Dakshat Naik, and Prajeet Naik. Renowned throughout Goa for their rangoli creations, these young artists have garnered widespread admiration for their effort.
