Rangoli in Kavlem encourages vaccination for all

PONDA: Kavlem artist Akash Naik has created rangoli in Kavlem Panchayat hall depicting an elderly woman receiving COVID-19 jab from a nurse encouraging vaccination for all.

The rangoli “Bhimari Se Dare, Tike Se Nahi” him and Sauraksha Naik  has received praise from Sarpanch Rajesh Kavlekar and Ponda Health Centre In-Charge Dr Smita Parsekar for creating  awareness on “Tika Ustav”.

Dr Parsekar said, “We are fighting the pandemic and in such time besides government, the awareness by rangoli artist is also important to encourage vaccination by removing fear in people’s mind.” 

Akash said, “The vaccination fear has gripped the elderly and to remove that, I have created the rangoli so that more and more people come forward for vaccination.”

Kavlekar said, “It’s a good initiative and awareness concept by Akash as people fear vaccination.”
