PANJIM: The BJP Goa has alleged corruption into the visit of Congress Goa Desk In-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao’s visit to Goa.
BJP spokesperson Urfan Mulla alleged that Rao visited Goa to ‘keep up’ Congress ‘culture of collecting bags’.
“The Goa Congress Desk in-charge Gundu Rao in his press conference has shown that he has come to Goa to ‘keep up’ the Congress ‘culture of collecting bags’. This is the talk of every Congress person. Digu (Opposition Leader Digambar Kamat) has already stitched the alliance with the GFP. Rao without saying there will be no alliance, they will decide later, is only to collect bags. The Congress president should make clear whether he agrees for alliance with the highest corrupt Goa Forward Party which he always shouted,” states the party press release issued on Sunday.
Mulla claimed that the Congress has only been criticising the present government while it has not come up with any concrete proposal for the betterment of Goa. At a press conference last week, Rao refused to rule out an alliance for the 2022 Assembly elections but added that to defeat BJP everything is possible.
He told media persons that the final decision on the strategy for the upcoming general Assembly elections in Goa will rest with the party’s High Command.
