PANJIM: The 30-year-old son of a noted hotelier accused of raping an underage girl has been remanded to judicial custody. Varun Nayyar was arrested around two weeks ago following a complaint filed by the 13-year-old victim’s parents at Porvorim Police Station. The accused’s bail application filed before the Children Court’s will be heard on September 8.
The incident, according to the complaint, occurred on August 20 when the accused kidnapped their daughter and raped her.
