MARGAO: Saldon Faleiro, 25, accused of raping a minor from Salcete on the pretext of marriage, was remanded in 14-day custody by the Goa Children’s Court. Faleiro allegedly lured the 15-year-old schoolgirl and sexually abused her on multiple occasions in a secluded area. The victim’s parents filed a complaint with Maina-Curtorim police, leading to Faleiro’s arrest. The case was registered under Section 376 of IPC, Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act, and POCSO Act.
