MARGAO: The Goa Children’s Court remanded a father, who had allegedly raped his daughter to 14 days judicial custody.
The Maina-Curtorim Police had produced the alleged accused before the court for further remand.
Meanwhile, the accused has filed an application for bail before the Goa Children’s Court and the matter has been posted for arguments on September 20.
The victim was taken to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Bambolim for medical examination and the report is awaited.
The police have also interrogated the accused and have recorded his statement. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, the police have registered a case against the accused.
