MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police presented the father accused of raping his special-needs daughter before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao on Friday and obtained a seven-day remand for further investigation. The police conducted a medical examination of the father at the South Goa District Hospital in
Margao, and the report will be obtained. The victim girl also underwent a medical examination at the same hospital.
The accused, a driver by profession, raped his 21-year-old daughter, on multiple occasions at their residence, and also physically abused her, causing bodily injuries. The incident came to light after the girl’s mother, who had been working overseas, returned to Goa.
