Readymade affidavit service launched

Deputy Collector says people will be able to avail the facility at Rs 50 only

MAPUSA: As part of ‘administration at your door step’ programme of the State government, Minister for Art and Culture Dayanand Mandrekar on Tuesday launched the readymade affidavit service for the residents of Bardez at the Mamlatdar’s office at Mapusa. Speaking on the occasion, Mandrekar stated that the affidavit service will reduce people’s financial burden, besides the stress of moving from one place to another. “The government is committed to uplift poor people and will give priority to sort out their problems,” he assured.
“The Mamlatdar office should recruit a Public Relation Officer to assist and guide the people and I will also speak to the revenue minister in this regard,” said Mandrekar.
Deputy Collector Sabaji Shetye highlighted the importance of the affidavit service and said people will now be able to avail the facility of getting affidavit done from the Mamlatdar at Rs 50 only.
“The people will get the affidavits for nine certificates like residence, income, character, separate ration card, divergence, Mediclaim scheme, person on rent, new ration card and OBC,” informed Shetye.
Sharmila Gaonker compered the programme and also proposed the vote of thanks.
