Vasco: Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida along with Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chairperson and other councillors met Deputy Collector and had a discussion on the realignment of containment zone. MLA Almeida said random swab tests have been taken and the fate of the realignment of containment will depend on the test results.
“After the swab test results, the same will be forwarded to South Goa Collector for consideration of the proposal for realignment of containment zone,” councillor Fredrick Henriques added after the meeting.
Earlier, Almeida and other councillors discussed a series of issues from the containment zone, be it the replenishing currency notes in the ATM machines, supply of essential grocery items, movement of the locals from the buffer zone and most importantly, the separation of Bada Mangor area from Chota Mangor area because several COVID cases have surfaced in Chota Mangor and not in Bada Mangor.
