Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has asked the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government to prove its majority and has called for a special Assembly session on June 30 at 11 am. A day earlier, BJP leader and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had met the Governor urging a floor test.
Rebel Shiv Sena leaders led by Eknath Shinde, who were staying in Guwahati are due to arrive at Dabolim Airport Goa by chartered flight on Wednesday evening, before proceeding to Mumbai for the floor test on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut questions the decision to hold a floor test and says it is a violation of the Constitution. He further stated that the party will move the Supreme Court against it.
