MARGAO: The rebellion against the Chairperson Babita Prabhudessai has fizzled out. Two of the Councillors apparently from the Fatorda Forward which formed the group of 11 have backed out from the proposal.
A group of 11 councillors had gone ahead and formed a pressure group to bring down Chairperson Babita Angle. This group was comprised councillors affiliated to Congress, BJP as well as the Fatorda Forward.
This movement started after Goa Forward was removed from the government.
The Congress and BJP Councillors had formed the group and had pulled in two councillors from Fatorda Forward. The group met on Sunday.
However, after the newspapers reported the same, the Fatorda Forward Councillors were approached and requested not to leave the group. It is given to understand that four other Councillors of Fatorda Forward rejected the offer of bringing down Babita Angle.
