PANJIM: he 40 member Goa Board has been reconstituted and members include the Chairman of Goa Board, directors of school education, sports and youth affairs, art and culture, craftsmen training, technical education, higher
education, SCERT, Sanguem MLA Subhash Phaldesai and Ponda MLA Lavoo Mamledar, Dr Nandakumar Kamat of Goa University , Dr J R Monteiro of College of Art and Science, Farmagudi, Fr Zeferino D’Souza the Chairman of the Diocesan Society of Education.
Dr Allen Abreu of GVM College of Education, Ponda, Tilroy Fernandes Principal of Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School, Sr Liberata Fernandes headmistress of St Michael’s Convent School, Vagator, Damodar Phadte of Mahanadu Naik Memorial School Ponda, K D Laxman, principal of Shiroda Higher Secondary and teachers representing various secondary, high secondary and vocational institutions.
The newly re-constituted board will meet in the first week of August.
Chairman of the Goa Board J R Rebello said that the Board will start deliberating on a host of important issues pertaining to secondary and higher secondary education, revamping vocational education, guidelines for internal assessments and more.
