In a cheque distribution programme of Gaondongrim and Cotigao Collective Farming Co-op Society Ltd comprising over 80 self help groups (SHGs), Mallikarjun SHG from Bupar-Gaondongrim sold vegetables worth Rs 50,846.
Kuskem Cotigao’s Manthan SHG provided vegetables to the horticulture outlet to the tune of Rs 31,549 and stood second in the list.
On the occasion, cheques for the vegetable supplies provided to horticulture outlet were handed over to the SHGs by Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar, while awards in cash prizes were also given to the leading SHGs on village basis.
At Gaondongrim, Mallikarjun SHG Bupar (business of Rs 50,846), Vaishanavi Deevi SHG Indrawada (Rs 30,349) and Adarsh SHG Ziltawadi (Rs 26,236) were awarded cash prizes by village Sarpanch Umesh Velip, while at Cotigao, Manthan SHG Kuskem (Rs 31,549), Mallika SHG Amone (Rs 26,497) and Sainath Prassan SHG (Rs 25,802) were handed cash awards by Cotigao Sarpanch Meena Gaonkar.
