Ponda: The PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar who is the MLA from Marcaim constituency has a very hectic schedule everyday. He meets scores of people from his constituencywho want to voice their grievances and other job-related work at his residence. However, over the past one and half month he has been undergoing treatment and also underwent a small surgery which was conducted in Mumbai and has been directed to take rest by doctors.
The Minister after a few days rest is slowly recuperating from his illness. Sudin Dhavalikar said during the course of the morning session he usually tried to avoid many people in order to get rest and to avoid infections but the grievances of his people were being addressed. The Sarpanch and local Panch members and Zilla Panchayat members are helping him solve the problems of the people at the panchayat level and important cases are currently handled by him.
Similarly in the evening session he visits his Government official residence Bungalow at Altino where officials works, files of PWD, Transport and River Navigation Department are cleared with the assistance of the concerned department Officials. He said that in a couple of days he would be attending all the public functions and meeting people. However, he is actively conducting his official work. As he felt better, he attended the one day at assembly session and then further hoisted the tricolour and PondaKrantimaidan on 15 August. He is recuperating and recently held a meeting of PWD officials asking them to improve road conditions that deteriorated during the rains.
His brother Deepak Dhavalikar criticised people who are spreading rumours about he is being hospitalised. He said these rumours were politically motivated. Kavlem Sarpanch Rajesh Kavlekar said all sarpanchas in Marcaim Constituency are there to help the people and their major and minor work are addressed according to its importance and Minister Dhavlikar attends to important issues personally. Nothing is pending and everything is going smoothly with the blessings of the people. He said by September the PWD Minister would be available at all times to the public
